Friend, Friendship Poems P11
Best Friend Poems for Your Best Friends and close
Friendships
Give your friends the gift of one of my Friendship Poems.
My husband has finally gone to work
My children have finished their play
they've gone to bed their stories read
I've had one of those days
I'll talk to all my friends
who know just what to say
and my troubles fade away.
My friends you're always there for me
and though we've never met before
I know our friendships true.
And although we haven't been friends for long
in this short time it seems
we shared so many things already
our hopes, our fears, our dreams.
We come from different walks of life
but we share a common bond
and it's time to say that of all of you
So thank you friends for being there
I know you're always there for me
and you know I'm there for you.

Friendship
A simple smile, a loving word,
a joke to brighten up the day,
A phone call when you're not at your best,
An ear to listen a heart to accept,
The simple way you came to me,
the gentle touch of your hand.
The way we think a lot alike
on fun or serious things,
It seems to be this friendship
Through days and weeks and even months
we have shared a lot "deep" within,
but guaranteed with love and trust,
that's a good way to begin.
For when two people such as us,
can meet and almost blend,
I've read your heart, I know your mind,
and am so glad to call you Friend.
Have you ever felt like you knew someone
Another place, another time,
a friendship of the souls?
Two people who share a bond
for reasons neither know,
A feeling that they were friends,
Did they stumble onto each other
Or was it fate and destiny
that played a certain hand?
But the soul, it knows no difference,
Somehow they are drawn together,
fate has brought them back,
Each living worlds apart,
they journey separate paths.
Their souls will find each other,
two souls that we call friends.
Like a needle in a haystack,
true friends are hard to find.
That's why I'm so thankful
that I can call you mine.
Whenever I need a shoulder
you're there to catch my tears.
You've kept my many secrets,
Throughout all of these years.
You've been their through my sadness
you’ve witnessed my defeats.
I'll remember all the good times,
and pray the bad ones don't repeat.
With you my heart is honest,
but there's one thing I never told you.
Thank you for everything you've done
There's no one else like you.
No one that could ever be a
true "best" friend like you!
A lifetime can be likened to
a stranger makes a mark one day,
As time goes by the beach once clear
of memories and keep-sakes
of the ones that we hold dear.
Time does its best to wash away
the ones we never meant to meet
But as through some odd twist of fate
these are the ones we cherish.
The time we spend with these such friends,
I walked along the ocean,
my head bowed low in sorrow,
how do I cope with tomorrow?
The day was like every other,
the pain the grief inside,
my strength was running out,
The pain was immense that day,
it had never been that bad,
and all of a sudden, out of the blue,
Something happened that day,
the weight became like a feather,
it'll never be entirely gone though,
the memories are there forever.
Although I still look back and cry,
I had a friend to confide,
She means the whole world to me,
She helped me reach the stronger side.
