I Can’t Hear You
Have you noticed people,
How their speech is so unclear?
They mutter and they mumble,
and are far to hard to hear.
Speak out nice and loud I say,
I can’t hear what you said.
Or maybe you can write it down,
so I can read it instead.
Get a little closer, I say
where I can hear you most.
Oh dear I think, maybe it’s just me,
being deaf as a post.
Once Upon A Time
I once was a little baby
held in my mother’s arms.
I once was a teen,
with all a young girls charms.
I once was a young lady,
my future stood before me
I once was a beautiful bride,
with my husband to be.
I once was a young mother
with children of my own.
I once was a mother
when they left I felt alone.
I once was a grandmother,
with grandchildren I would talk.
Now I’m an old woman
no longer can I walk.
Now I am very tired,
not long now till the end.
I once was all these things,
but on you now, I depend.

A Loving Heart
Love doesn’t hurt, love doesn’t stray,
love doesn’t waver day to day.
Love has no doubt, nor apprehension,
no dread, mistrust, unease or tension.
No overbearing stress or strain,
no unrelenting, constant pain.
Love doesn’t stand for disrespect,
dishonor, insult or neglect.
Love builds esteem and heightens pleasure,
thrives and builds a priceless treasure.
Nurtured souls rise to ascend,
A loving heart knows no end.
