Every Life Touches The World - Memorial Poems

Every Life Touches The World

(In Loving Memory - Child)

The world may never notice
if a Snowdrop doesn’t bloom,
Or even pause to wonder,
if the petals fall too soon.
But every life that ever forms,
Or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way,
for all eternity.

In Loving Memory - Sympathy Poems

In Loving Memory

No flags were flown at half mast

when my little baby died;

no limousine to carry her home

no crowds of mourners cried.

But the world for me stopped turning,

my heart is filled with pain

my tears could fill an ocean

I want to see her again.

I want to say I’m sorry

to feel her lick my face,

I want to hold her close to me

and always keep her safe.

I wonder how to end this hurt,

to ease my troubled soul,

I wonder how I can go on

without her I’m not whole.

And so I pray to God above

to take care of my child,

say thanks that she was here

if only for a while.

And I will love another,

though she’ll always be a part

of everything that’s good and kind,

she will always have my heart.

I know that she is happy,

running in fields of gold,

and though I know she misses me

she’ll someday me mine to hold.

So sleep my little baby,

your spirit now is free,

sleep my little baby,

you’re still a part of me.

Sympathy Poems - Loss Of Baby Child - I’ll Lend You For A Little While A Child Of Mine God Said

I’ll Lend You This Child

(Memorial Sympathy Poems – In Memoriam Verses – Loss Of Baby – Child)

I’ll lend you for a little while a child of mine God said

For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he’s dead

It may be six or seven years or forty two or three

But will you ’til I call him back take care of him for Me

He’ll bring his ways to gladden you and should his stay be brief

You’ll always have his memories as a solace for your grief

I cannot promise he will stay as all from earth return

But there are lessons taught below that I want you all to learn

I’ve looked this whole world over in My search for students true

And from the folks that crown life’s lane I have chosen you

Now will you give him all your love nor think labor vain

Nor hate Me when I come to take this lent child back again?

I fancied that I heard them say Dear Lord Thy Will be done

For all the joys Thy child will bring the risk of grief we’ll run

We’ll shelter him with tenderness we’ll love him while we may

And just for having loved him forever grateful stay.
