My soul burns red with pain ..
No longer will I touch her face
Or caress her skin again.

God, what have I done wrong ..
To have her stolen from my arms
When my faith in you was strong.

Thank God I have another ..
I couldn’t walk this path alone
For every breath’s a struggle.

That’s not where she should be ..
Searing, ripping, tearing ache
Emotions overcome me.

My sister often held my hand
When we were very small ..
She took the time to wait for me
And did not mind at all.

My sister is a special friend
Who’s there, to smooth the way ..
My sister is, a gift from God
And a blessing, everyday.

.. she will always be there for me
when i have no one else.

always be by my side
when the world is closing in.
.. she’s someone who’s there for me
always, through thick and thin.

the one who can make me laugh
.. when all I want to do is cry.

My sister is ..
the one who knows me best
.. from inside to the out.

My sister ..
can tell what I’m thinking
.. without saying a word.

My sister is ..
the one who can read my thoughts
.. and she knows how I really feel.

You were my first friend
Together we’d laugh and play ..
And whisper into the midnight hours
About the happenings in our day.

You were someone I could tell my secrets to
And I knew that they would be safe ..
I knew I could tell you anything
And you would love me anyway.

I shared with you my fears and dreams
And you shared with me your own ..
We talked about what life would bring
When we were finally grown.

You were there to help me mend
My first broken heart ..
You helped me to see there’s so much to life
And that love was just the start.

And though we didn’t always agree
We’ve always had each others side ..
Displaying a sisterly strength
And a loving, caring pride.

We were born sisters
And friends as we grew ..
I am ever so grateful, for
my life with you.
