In Loving Memory General Family

In Loving Memory Poems

Eternity we’ll share
because of God’s love -
Reunited someday
in Heaven above.

Think of the memories
we’ll make again there -
It will be wonderful
eternity we’ll share.

-

I know I am still with you, in your
prayers, your thoughts, your heart -
And though you cannot see me
I will always be a part.

Of life’s sweet celebrations
in those times when you reflect -
On how, though things are different
through our love, we still connect.

We’ll see each other someday
when our spirits all are free -
Until then, I am with you
because you remember me.

-

Broken is the family circle
our dear one has passed away -
Passed from this earthly darkness
into a bright and perfect day.

But we all must cease to languish
o’er the grave of him we love -
Strive to be prepared to meet him
in the better world above.

-

Its years since
you’ve been gone -
But in our hearts
you still live on.

-

We little knew that day
God was going to call your name -
In life we loved you dearly
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you
you did not go alone -
For part of us went with you
the day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories
your love is still our guide -
And although we cannot see you
you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same -
But as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.

-

From our happy home and circle
God has taken one we loved -
She is borne from sin and sorrow
to a nobler rest above.

No one knows how much we miss her
none but aching hearts can tell
Lost on earth but found in Heaven
Jesus doeth all things well.

-

There is a family who misses you
and finds time long since you went -
We think of you daily and hourly
but try to be brave and content.

Tears that we shed are in silence
and we breathe a sigh of regret -
For you were ours and we remember
though all the world forget.

-

We often think of bygone days
when we were all together -
The family chain is broken now
but memories will live forever.

To us, she/he has not gone away
nor has she/he traveled far -
Just entered God’s eternal home
and left the gate ajar.

-

For many years the family chain
was closely linked together -
But, oh, that chain is broken now
the main link gone forever.

The sunshine of our happy home
must always clouded be -
But Thou O Lord has sent his cross
we bear it all for thee.

-

His life earnest
his actions kind -
A willing hand
and active mind.

Anxious to please
loath to offend -
A loving brother
and faithful friend.

-

You are not forgotten
nor ever will you be -
As long as life and memory lasts
we will remember thee.

-

Life seemed to mean
so much before -
It’s not important
anymore.

The strength to face
the daily tasks -
Till I am with you
is all I ask.

-

We long for household voices gone
for vanished smiles we long -
God has taken our loved one on
and He can do no wrong.

-

Resting where
no shadows fall -
In peaceful sleep
he awaits us all.

God will link
the broken chain -
When one by one
we meet again.

-

From our happy home and circle
God has taken one we love -
Borne away from sin and sorrow
to a better land above.

-

You still live on
in the hearts and minds -
Of the loving family
you left behind.
