In Loving Memory General Family

In Loving Memory Poems

Eternity we’ll share
because of God’s love –
Reunited someday
in Heaven above.

Think of the memories
we’ll make again there –
It will be wonderful
eternity we’ll share.

I know I am still with you, in your
prayers, your thoughts, your heart –
And though you cannot see me
I will always be a part.

Of life’s sweet celebrations
in those times when you reflect –
On how, though things are different
through our love, we still connect.

We’ll see each other someday
when our spirits all are free –
Until then, I am with you
because you remember me.

Broken is the family circle
our dear one has passed away –
Passed from this earthly darkness
into a bright and perfect day.

But we all must cease to languish
o’er the grave of him we love –
Strive to be prepared to meet him
in the better world above.

Its years since
you’ve been gone –
But in our hearts
you still live on.

We little knew that day
God was going to call your name –
In life we loved you dearly
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you
you did not go alone –
For part of us went with you
the day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories
your love is still our guide –
And although we cannot see you
you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same –
But as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.

From our happy home and circle
God has taken one we loved –
She is borne from sin and sorrow
to a nobler rest above.

No one knows how much we miss her
none but aching hearts can tell
Lost on earth but found in Heaven
Jesus doeth all things well.

There is a family who misses you
and finds time long since you went –
We think of you daily and hourly
but try to be brave and content.

Tears that we shed are in silence
and we breathe a sigh of regret –
For you were ours and we remember
though all the world forget.

We often think of bygone days
when we were all together –
The family chain is broken now
but memories will live forever.

To us, she/he has not gone away
nor has she/he traveled far –
Just entered God’s eternal home
and left the gate ajar.

For many years the family chain
was closely linked together –
But, oh, that chain is broken now
the main link gone forever.

The sunshine of our happy home
must always clouded be –
But Thou O Lord has sent his cross
we bear it all for thee.

His life earnest
his actions kind –
A willing hand
and active mind.

Anxious to please
loath to offend –
A loving brother
and faithful friend.

You are not forgotten
nor ever will you be –
As long as life and memory lasts
we will remember thee.

Life seemed to mean
so much before –
It’s not important

The strength to face
the daily tasks –
Till I am with you
is all I ask.

We long for household voices gone
for vanished smiles we long –
God has taken our loved one on
and He can do no wrong.

Resting where
no shadows fall –
In peaceful sleep
he awaits us all.

God will link
the broken chain –
When one by one
we meet again.

From our happy home and circle
God has taken one we love –
Borne away from sin and sorrow
to a better land above.

You still live on
in the hearts and minds –
Of the loving family
you left behind.
