Don’t Tell Me | Sympathy Funeral Poems

Don’t Tell Me
(Sympathy Funeral Poems)

Please don’t tell me you know how I feel
Unless you have lost your child too ..
Please don’t tell me my broken will heal
Because that is just not true.

Please don’t tell me my son is in a better place
Though it is true, I want him here with me ..
Don’t tell me someday I’ll hear his voice, see his face
Beyond today I cannot see.

Don’t tell me it is time to move on
Because I cannot ..
Don’t tell me to face the fact he is gone
Because denial is something I can’t stop.

Don’t tell me to be thankful for the time I had
Because I wanted more ..
Don’t tell me when I am my old self you will be glad
I’ll never be as I was before.

What you can tell me is you will be here for me
That you will listen when I talk of my child ..
You can share with me my precious memories
You can even cry with me for a while.

And please don’t hesitate to say his name
Because it is something I long to hear ..
Friend please realize that I can never be the same
But if you stand by me, your friendship will be my treasure.

Sympathy Poems – Funeral Poems – I’ll Lend You A Child

I’ll Lend You A Child
(Memorial Sympathy Poems – Loss Of Baby – Child)

“I’ll lend you for a little time, a child of Mine.” He said.
“For you to love the while he lives
And mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I call him back,
Take care of him for Me?”
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you,
And should his stay be brief
You’ll have his lovely memories
As solace for your grief.”
“I cannot promise he will stay
Since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked the wide world over
In my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes
I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love,
Not think the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call
And take him back again.”
I fancied that I heard them say,
“Dear Lord, Thy will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we run.
We’ll shelter him with tenderness,
We’ll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we’ve known,
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we planned,
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.”

A Loan | Sympathy Grief Loss Poems

A Loan
(Sympathy Grief Loss Poems)

The Lord Looked down to earth one day
and saw a couple there ..
He said, “Now those two people
make a lovely pair.

I have some spirits here with me
that need a home on earth ..
I think that I shall bless these folks
with a precious spirits birth.

This baby, though, is just a Loan.
these are the terms My dears ..
She may live there just sixty days
or she may live for sixty years.

I hope you’ll treat my spirit kindly
while she’s down on earth with you ..
For when she comes back here to me
she has a special job to do.

With flowing tears, dear cherished one
we lay thee with the dead ..
And flowers, which thou didst love so well
shall wave above thy head.

Sweet emblems of thy dearer self
they find a wintry tomb ..
And at the south wind’s gentle touch
spring forth to life and bloom.

Thus, when the sun of righteousness
shall gild thy dark abode ..
Thy slumbering dust shall bloom afresh
and soar to meet thy God.

Guardian Angels | Loss Of Baby Child Poems

Guardian Angels
(Loss Of Baby Child Poems)

The sky is filled with Angels
with puffy lacy wings ..
The remnants of God’s beauty
with treasures they now bring.

Each one of them a Guardian
that travels in the sky ..
To watch throughout eternity
their loved ones from up high.

Kisses come from Angels
they fall like crystal rain ..
Eases earthly burdens
lifting all life’s pain.

Halos so astounding
that glitter gold all day ..
Following their loved ones
in such a perfect way.

Wings in gentle breezes
that fall from up above ..
Kissing every loved one
with everlasting love.

Angels soar through heaven
with everlasting light ..
Looking down from heaven
saying their good night’s.

Kissing all who loved them
so gently on the face ..
This life’s tender mercy
each loved one can embrace.

Wings and shiny halos
travel from up high ..
Surrounding all their loved ones
they never say good-bye.
