Seeya Dad
Taking time to remember
when i was so small.
We didn’t have much
but i still had it all.
If you made a promise
that promise was kept.
If i knew how it cost
how i would have wept.
You worked every day
so i could have all
Then even found time
for us to play ball
How fast I grew up
and dad you got old
But I didn’t notice
you started to fold.
And now is the time
to lay you to rest
Seeya Dad my mate
with you I was blessed.
A Boy and His Dad
A boy and his dad on
a fishing-trip
There is a glorious
fellowship!
Father and son and
the open sky
And the white clouds
lazily drifting by,
And the laughing
stream as it runs along
With the clicking
reel like a martial song,
And the father
teaching the youngster gay
How to land a fish in
the sportsman's way.
I fancy I hear them
talking there
In an open boat, and
the speech is fair.
And the boy is
learning the ways of men
From the finest man
in his youthful ken.
Kings, to the
youngster, cannot compare
With the gentle
father who's with him there.
And the greatest mind
of the human race
Not for one minute
could take his place.
Which is happier, man
or boy?
The soul of the
father is steeped in joy,
For he's finding out,
to his heart's delight,
That his son is fit
for the future fight.
He is learning the
glorious depths of him,
And the thoughts he
thinks and his every whim;
And he shall
discover, when night comes on,
How close he has
grown to his little son.
A boy and his dad on
a fishing-trip
Builders of life's
companionship!
Oh, I envy them, as I
see them there
Under the sky in the
open air,
For out of the old,
old long-ago
Come the summer days
that I used to know,
When I learned life's
truths from my father's lips
As I shared the joy
of his fishing-trips.

Why God Created
Fathers
When God created
Fathers, He made two loving arms
To cradle us and
shelter us from the worldly harm.
When God created
Fathers, He made a pair of hands
To care for us and
guide us through our choices and our plans.
When God created
Fathers, He made the warmest heart
To understand and
give our lives a happy, loving start.
Why God created
Fathers, is not a mystery. . .
He meant to share His
love with us and did it perfectly.
Thank You Dad
Thank you for the
laughter,
For the good times that we share,
Thanks for always listening,
For trying to be fair.
Thank you for your comfort,
When things are going bad,
Thank you for the shoulder,
To cry on when I'm sad.
This poem is a reminder that
All my life through,
I'll be thanking Heaven
For a Special Dad like you.
Your Son
Glad to be your son
a
greater influence I have never known.
The time we have spent together
will last in my mind forever.
Though I wished when I was young
to be around you more.
There is one thing that I can say for sure
these memories of you I adore.
The respect for my father is immense
the man that I find within myself today.
A huge part that you did play.
The love for you I could never regret
My mind on this is truly set.
One last feeling I want to share
My God's precious love
will always be there.
My Father
Who gave me life and
held my hand
and caught me when I
fell . . .
Who praised me for my
best
and wept when I did
wrong . . .
Who cheered me on and
taught me to be
strong . . .
Who never slept so to
comfort me . . .
Who will always be a
part of me . . .
My Father, My Best
Friend
What Is A Father?
A father is someone
who's always around
when you're stuck for
some friendly advice.
A father is someone
who knows how you feel
and who'll help you
without thinking twice...
A father is someone
so thoughtful and kind
he's made his own
place in your heart...
A father is someone
you wish all life's best
with the love that's
been his from the start.
What You Mean To Me
You mean so very much
to me,
And I want you to know
That you are always in my heart,
No matter where I go.
You're always giving, always there
To help in any way;
The loving things you've done for me,
I never could repay.
I can't imagine what I'd do
Without the love you give.
I'll treasure your sweet heart of gold
As long as I shall live.
Being a dad is more
than a day
More than a thank-you or annual display
Your laughter and caring, adventure and humor
So giving, befitting the honor of father
I couldn’t have
picked a better man
To travel through life with our crazy clan
You’re my husband, my hero, and may I suggest
A wonderful father — the best of the best!
Dear Dad
There is that special
person
who has brought such
joy to me,
who in many ways has
made my life
the best that it can
be.
I feel fortunate just
to know this person
and I think you
should know, too,
when I think of
special people,
I always think of
you.
Only One Father
Millions of stars in
the heavens above,
Only one father to
cherish and love.
Thousands and
thousands of flowers and trees,
Hundreds and hundreds
of mountains and seas.
Everything multiplied
over and over,
Robins and
butterflies, bees in the clover.
Many good friends to
think the world of,
But only one father
to cherish and love.
Father
Doing special favors
in a dozen different
ways,
Looking out for
others
with no thought of
thanks or praise.
Living for your
family
setting good
examples, too-
These make a loving
father
and they all apply to
you.

Dad
You've always tried
to help make
everything right with
my world.
You've been there to
laugh with me, to be
proud of me, and to
be happy for all the good
things in my life.
And, maybe even more
importantly, you've
shared my disappointments,
and listened as I
worked out my thoughts
and feelings about so
many things that
troubled me as I was
growing up.
You're a very
important part of my world,
Dad, so I want to
thank you now,
and tell you that I
hope everything will
always be right with
your world, too...
because I love you.
Too big to sit upon
your knee,
Too old to have you read to me,
Too far from you, too many miles
Too many days without your smiles.
So much to do, but had to say,
love you! Everyday.
Dad
Each day I get older
and perhaps
a bit more wise,
And Dad, the more I
understand
the more I realize,
That you've been
simply wonderful
since I was very
small,
And I've been blessed
for certain
with the finest Dad
of all!
Dad
My sense of humor
comes from you,
And all the funny things you do;
You make my world a better place,
And put a smile upon my face!
My Dad
When I was young, you
helped me grow,
And taught me all I had to know
Of love and trust and faith and hope,
And everything it takes to cope.
You may have thought I didn't hear
But all the things you taught to me
Were heeded very carefully,
And now I want to thank you for
Your love, your care, and so much more!
The Man of My Life
Your hair is getting
greyer
You are thinner and weaker
Your pants and shirts
Seem too big for you
Your wrinkles look
deeper
Your eyes are dimmer
I count more liver spots
On your hands and face
Yet your smile
remains the same
Your eyes still twinkle and shine
Even now, I love to hear your voice
Advising and comforting me
I remember those days
When you were tall and strong
You held my hand, wiped my tears
Sang songs and made me laugh
Let me take care of
you now
I hope to be a comfort to you too
As you were, so many years ago
When I was your little girl, Dad
Dad
Words aren't easy
when feelings run
deep,
But still, there's
one thing
you should know-
The values you gave
me,
the lessons you
taught,
Are with me wherever
I go,
And loving a dad
who's as special as
you
Is something
I'll never outgrow.

Dad
You were always there
as I grew up
You taught me good from bad
You were my rock to lean on
I'm so proud that you're my Dad

Thank You Dad
I find myself
wondering.
did I give you your due.
For all that you've done for me
did I ever thank you?
For all of my
childhood memories
for helping me deal with life's stresses
For helping me accept my defeats
and celebrate my successes?
Or for teaching me
the value of hard work,
good judgement, courage, and being true
The laughter, smiles, and quiet times we've shared
did I ever thank you?
If I have forgotten,
I'm thanking you now
you taught me right from wrong....
I hope you know how much you're loved and appreciated
I hope you, instinctively, knew it all along.
What Makes a Dad?
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
And there was nothing more to add,
He knew his masterpiece was complete,
And He called it - Dad.
Dad
My family plays lots
of games, and sometimes I feel bad –
No matter what, from sports to chess, I always beat my dad!
I know he’s trying really hard in every game we play.
I see the glimmer in his eye... but things just go my way.
Sure, he never moans or whines. I’ve never seen him crying.
But I’m afraid if this keeps up, then one day he’ll stop trying.
And so today, I have a plan (although he’ll never know it),
When we play games, I’ll let him win!
I hope he doesn’t blow it.
