Birthday Dad
Dad, you are a king of men
I will say it over and over again
No one could be so blessed.
To have a Dad that  above the rest
So here's a toast to you today
To a wonderful Dad, Happy Birthday

Dad
I’ll Always Need You
Sometimes it's hard for us
to be friends because in some
ways we see life from opposite
angles and different directions.
But I hope you know, Dad,
that even when it seems
I'm just being stubborn, I still hear
what you're saying,
and I still listen to you with love,
because I still need you...
and I always will.

My Dad and I
My dad and I - we think alike,
He knows just what I mean
Before I even say a word
He reads, well, in between.
My dad and I-we like to fish
Or build a model plane,
Or fix a broken chair or two
Or just a windowpane.
My dad and I-we know the score
Of every single game;
Sometimes he's really busy, too
But he takes me just the same.
My dad and I-we go swimming too,
Each year and sometimes twice.
My dad and I-we do everything;
My dad-he's really nice.

Dad
Dad...so many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.
What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.
What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.
Dad, some days I hear your voice
and turn to see your face;
Yet in my turning...it seems
the sound has been erased.
Dad, who will I turn to for answers
when life does not make sense;
Who will be there to hold me close
when the pieces just don't fit.
Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time
and once more hear your voice;
I'd tell you that out of all the dads
you would still be my choice.
Please always know I love you
and no one can take your place;
Years may come and go
but your memory will never be erased.
Today, Jesus, as You are listening
in your home above;
Would you go and find my dad
and give him all my love.

My Daddy
Walking down the winding path
I hold tight to Daddy's hand
His firm but gentle grip makes me
Feel safe like nothing else can.
I don't know where we are going
But my Daddy knows the way
He leads us down the path that's right
And will not let us stray
I hold on to his hand tightly
I know he won't let me fall
For my Daddy is the biggest
and the strongest of them all
I don't ever have to worry
When I hold his hand in mine
Because I know he will protect
And love me for all time
Please, Dad

By - Michael Anderson
As soft winds sweep away the days
I look back on life through a haze.
Remember playgrounds, parks and friends,
In childlike gaze that never ends.
The laughter in a game of catch,

Shall memory ever attach...
To innocence in youthful eyes,
Catching the ball to Dad's surprise.
I recall my first bike, first wreck,
Who picked me up, said, "What the heck?"
Convinced me to give one more try,
While, knees skinned, I forgot to cry.
Just the joy knowing he was there,

Making him proud my only care.

There was nothing I couldn't do,
My heart held fast that to be true.
Though teenage years were kind of rough,
I sure wasn't too big or tough.
You taught me to defend what's right

And never back down from a fight.

So I learned the hard way to stand,

Still, with each lump, I found your hand.

Drawing from you an inner strength,

And stubborn pride of equal length.
But there the line of fate was drawn,
As though I blinked and you were gone.
I found myself facing the sun,
Not man, not boy, fatherless, one.
Eyes blinded by a void inside,
I could not live that you had died.

Alas finding it to be true,

I could do nothing without you.
Please, Dad, today just hear my call,
I'm sorry that I dropped the ball.
My life is wrecked, my knees are skinned,

My emotions undisciplined.
I can't get up although I try,
Please don't be upset if I cry.
Though I can't fight what I can't see,
Please, Dad, say you're still proud of me.

Memories
When all the children have grown and gone,
Which memories of Father will linger on?
Will it be the times he dried their tears,
Held them close and calmed their fears?
The way he always found the time
To read their favorite nursery rhyme,
Over and over, time and time again,
Until they knew it, beginning to end.
The sleepless nights with an ailing child,

Father stays there all the while,
Ministering love with healing hands,
Spinning tales of faraway lands.
What memories will follow them as they go?

All of these, and more I know.
But most important, can they say,
"I had a Father who loved to pray".

World’s Greatest Dad
I've been thinking, Dad,
about all the times you've believed in me
when I didn't even believe in myself.
Times you've understood me when
I was so difficult to understand.
The times you've encouraged me
when I needed it most.
But more than these things, Dad,
I've been thinking about the unfailing
love which has followed me through
all the stages of my life...
And I just want to let you know
that I  think you are
"The Greatest Dad in the Whole World "
and that I love you very, very much.

The Absent Dad
I am the image of my Dad,
and when you're away, it makes me sad.
I need you here, to learn and grow,
because without you, you never know,
I am the image of my father,
and being with you makes me stronger.
I am a small boy now, but growing each day,
I need you around to help me play.
My dad should teach me right from wrong,
and how to sing your favorite song.
To love and be loved, that is your job,
but of these things you will be robbed.
If you think it's not important to stay,
you may regret your decision one day.
To love and be loved, that's my job too,
but without you around, how will I do?
There are things I need to know in life,
like how to choose a suitable wife.
Unimportant these things may seem to be,
I don't know why you just can't see,
the most important parent for me is you,
and you need to fully understand that too!
In your place, who should I choose?
Is there another that can walk in your shoes?
Not in my eyes and I need you to know,
Without you around, I cannot grow.
You are very special to me, you see,
and I need you to want to be around me.
I want to say "hey that's my dad",
and when you hear that, you will be glad.
Sometimes I look all around me and see,
other kids with their dads and wish it was me!

To My Dad
My father once told me that I was his girl,
His beauty, his pride, his angel, his pearl.
I would ride his shoulders, like a pony or horse,
He would run like crazy till I’d almost fall off.
I remember his face for each time we visit,
I memorize it well as I know I will miss it.
Daddy’s little girl, the only one of three,
Loved by more, but most by me.
The love I give comes in circle by shape,
No hearts will be found, as sometimes they break.
Family is like treasure, lucky to have,
This gold must be cherished through good times and bad.
My dad is my dad ,there’s no words to explain,
The joys he brings, and the memories we’ve made.
This distance between us is not long at all,
You’re right here with me in my heart, in my soul.

My Father
You filled my days with rainbow lights,
Fairy tales and sweet dream nights,
A kiss to wipe away my tears,
Gingerbread to ease my fears.
You gave the gift of life to me,
And then in love, you set me free.
I thank you for your tender care,
For deep warm hugs, and being there.
I hope that when you think of me,
A part of you, you'll always see.

Number One Dad
Who gives me love and guidance?
Who shows me wrong from right?
Who's there when I need confidence?
Who tucks me in at night?
He's someone always on my side.
At times my biggest fan.
His love he never tries to hide.
He's really quite a man.
But that's just half the story.
The rest sure makes me glad.
'Cause this guy's much more you see.
He's number one - My Dad!
My Special Father
It takes many special qualities
To make a father like you,
A lot of care and kindness
And understanding, too...
It takes a special kind of love
That seems to know no end
And the thoughtfulness and patience
Of a true and trusted friend...
It takes many special qualities
To make a father like you,
And that's why you are loved so much
Today and all year through.

Dad
I am what I am.
I have chosen my path, set my own
future but all that I am,
I owe to you Dad. You instilled in me
a sense of value and taught me the
way I should go.
The love you showed me will
always be with me.
I know no matter where
I go or what I do,
your love will always follow.
