To my Grandpa
I just want to let you know
You mean the world to me.
Only a heart as dear as yours,
can give so unselfishly
The many things you have done;
All the times that you were there.
Help me know deep down inside,
How much you care.
Even though I might not say
I appreciate all you do
Richly blessed is how I feel
Having a grandfather like you!
Walking With Grandpa
His steps are short like mine.
He doesn't say "Now hurry up!"
He always takes his time.
Most people have to hurry,
They do not stop and see,
I'm glad that God made Grandpa
unrushed and young like me.
Thank You
Thank You for everything,
Everything you are.
Thank you for the loving hand,
The support and care.
Thank You for being my grandpa -
the best person in my life.
Thank You for being always with me,
through happiness and strife.
Grandfathers Who Are Grand
Grandfathers are fathers, who are grand,
Restoring the sense that our most precious things
Are those that do not change much over time.
No love of childhood is more sublime,
Demanding little, giving on demand,
Far more inclined than most to grant the wings
Allowing us to reach enchanted lands.
Though grandfathers must serve as second fathers,
Helping out with young and restless hearts,
Each has all the patience wisdom brings,
Remembering our passions more than others,
Soothing us with old and well-honed arts!
You're kind, caring and lovable
Witty, wise and plucky.
When they gave out Grand Dad's
I consider myself very lucky.
